there are almost 50,000 species of moss that grow in iceland. ironically, there is also a lichen named “iceland moss” which is used as an herbal supplement for everything from colds to tuberculosis and as a poultice for skin ailments. this hat uses the appropriately named “moss stitch” to mimic the texture of these low-lying vegetations. knit the longer length for a perfect amount of flop, or the shorter version to sit snuggly around your head. yoth’s avocado colourway will help you blend into the landscape.
