dom is polish for “home.” this shawl calls you right back there, with a simple and meditative body and a border stitch that might remind you of everything from the window frames on your favourite old house to argyle fabrics to fancy brickwork on buildings that have withstood the test of many centuries already. it's not a terrible idea to make a quick swatch of the border chart before diving into the couple dozen repeats required at the edge of your shawl. whether you choose to swatch or not, the finished shawl will be well worth the effort.
needles: US 7 (4.5mm) 32” (80cm) circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge

sample shown uses harrisville designs’ nightshades (80% american cormo/20% american wool, 250 yards [229 metres], 100g) x 3 skeins in 12:57
*note: due to the lofty nature of the suggested yarn, it’s a good idea to grab an extra skein just to be on the safe side so you don’t have to play yarn chicken. use any leftovers for a pair of fingerless mitts or a cute hat!
