lammas is celebrated in the northern hemisphere and celebrates the wheat harvest. observed with loaves of bread amidst the rest of the festivities, it should be no surprise that barley can be found front and centre. one of the very first cultivated cereal grains, barley has been farmed as far back as 10,000 years ago. find ways to incorporate some (fresher) grains of barley into your meals, whether fermented into beer or sprinkled into soups or ground into flour for baking.
needles: US 5 (3.75mm) 32” (80cm) circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
yarn: 1256 yards (1148 metres), 200g of fingering weight yarn
