dye pot notes
so much harvesting! woad seeds, indigo, tango cosmos and black knight scabiosa and dyer’s chamomile and marigold flowers… pure delight, for me and for the bees.
i extracted my very own homegrown indigo using the aqueous extraction method with a lot of help from my friend anna (she teaches classes out at long way homestead if you want to learn)
working on my installation, including fun plant masks! they’ll make more sense in context with the larger installation.

#bosswitch notes
there’s a lot going on behind the scenes, including the website overhaul, meetings with great folks, and planning out teaching for next year. i’ll have more to share as things get solidified and more tangible.
sanctuary is off to print and will be back in hand by the time we see next month’s video!

i’m playing with making plant paints from my leftover dye pots! i highly recommend this online class if you want to get started with playing yourself.
i also made more plant paper from the leftover dye pots. i’ll try to pull together a little series of what to do with exhausted dye pots sometime soon.
