knit style: current aesthetic in a nutshell

now that we’ve spent the past few weeks going down memory lane, i thought it might be a good point to stop and check in with my current pattern portfolio (especially since i have a buy-one-get-one sale - discount applied at checkout - on my patterns and ebooks on ravelry all february long!). i’ve designed over 150 patterns at this point (it’ll be close to 200 by the end of 2020), and there are definitely certain designs that have felt like pivotal points for me in either my design aesthetic or in filling gaps in my personal wardrobe. sometimes it’s both! if i had to choose just five patterns that felt like they encapsulate where my personal wardrobe and design aesthetic are right now, they would be:

wild bergamot pattern by ash alberg
hraun (lava) pattern by ash alberg

this year i’m focusing a lot on accessories, especially shawls and socks, but with my first colourwork yoke sweater pattern coming out in april, i’m looking forward to knitting and designing more garments again. and at some point i definitely need to design some patterns for puppers…
