slow living: holiday wish list 2019

last year i wrote up a holiday wish list and i’ve decided to do it again this year, mostly because i like sharing the holiday joy and promoting other small businesses that i love. so here we go!

northlore was on last year’s list and this year they’re back on it thanks to their new effervescent bath cubes. hello, solo knitting in the tub time!

pleasure activism has been on my to-read list for a little while now, and i think i need to bump it up the list. my goal for 2020 is to read one book a month, which primarily just requires me to prioritize reading, and while 2/3 of the books on my list are related to fibreshed work and/or natural dyeing, i want to keep the final third with books that feed my theoretical brain and also get me ticking around how i can possibly be shaping the world around me.

i leave you with my personal favourite motto with how to approach holiday gift-giving with kiddos, which can be super overwhelming and stupidly expensive (from what i have seen from the outside):
